Be Aware

You’ve heard the stats: one in four women. You’re also probably aware that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month but you might not be aware of some new ways we found to help find a cure. Many mom entrepreneurs are doing their part for the cause and we’re pretty sure you’ll find something for everyone, no matter the type:

For the Jewelry Lover
Inspire a fighter or a survivor of cancer with a Megan circle hand-stamped ‘Life is Now’ necklace ($88) from the Suetables’ custom ‘silverwear’ collection. With each purchase (type code RETHINK in the instructions box), Sue will donate $10 to Rethink Breast Cancer. Vancouver jeweler and mom mimiBe will donate $10 from every adorable pink enamel butterfly necklace ($35) sold on her website throughout October. And breast cancer survivor and mom entrepreneur Shari Slonski has designed a beautiful line of awareness bracelets, Beads for a Cure, handmade from glass beads and silver findings, with 20% of all her profits going to cancer charities.

For the New Baby
Pocket a Kangaroo Towel ($47.95) from PetitePosh.com, with its ingenious design that keeps you dry during bathtime and then dries baby afterward in its cozy pouch—the two mom entrepreneurs behind these operations are donating $3 from each towel sold in the month of October to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation in support of Breast Cancer.
