Serving a Proper Tea

Go all out and serve a proper tea that even the Queen would be proud of.
Tea Party Etiquette

You’ll Need

  • Assorted teas such as Earl Grey, black, lemon and herbal
  • Milk and cream
  • Honey, sugar cubes, lemon slices
  • Assorted teapots

Prep and Cook

  1. Bring a large kettle filled with water to a boil.
  2. Pour some of the water into the teapots and let it sit for a minute or two. This will keep the tea hot. Pour out the water and place two tea bags into each pot.
  3. Fill the pot with more boiling water and allow the tea to steep for one to two minutes, depending on the type of tea you use.
  4. Serve the tea with milk, cream, sugar cubes, honey slices and lemon.

Good to Know: To mimic a true high tea, serve the tea to the guests instead of letting them serve themselves.
