Local LEGO Travel Adventures

Still adjusting to the family routine after spring break? We have just the trip to cure your wanderlust, and this one is within city limits.

On right now at the TELUS World of Science is their LEGO Travel Adventure exhibit. This awesome combination of science and art is the result of a collaboration between the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis and LEGO. Families can create their own vehicles to travel by land, sea or air, and find some inspiration in the pre-made ones, too.

The exhibit is in town until May 6, but this Sunday your kids will have a chance to visit with their new favourite LEGO Master Builder, Emmet from the LEGO movie, from 12:30–3:30 pm.

While you’re there, be sure to check out Canada’s largest LEGO mural, completed by over 5,000 builders (visitors and staff) in 14 days. It’s over 11 metres square and contains more than 180,000 bricks. We love that they added a ‘Where’s Waldo?’ puzzle to it by hiding Easter Eggs in the mural to find.

It’s not far away, but it’s pretty out of this world, and it still counts as a trip.

Keep moving. We’ve got the 14 Best Places to Take the Kids in Vancouver, just for you.
