We've been trying hard to make playing board games a more frequent event in our lives, turning off the TV to get involved in some friendly competition. We've learned that some games are great for kiddos practicing reading, speaking and pattern recognition. Plus, let's be honest here, they're a lot of fun for everyone, in a healthy competition kind of way. We like stocking our own game cupboard or making a tradition of giving our own kids or nieces/nephews a new and amazing new game each birthday or holiday. We've gone beyond the usual suspects to present some of our favourite family games.
