8 Favourite Toronto Pizza Places
Since the apple-of-your-eye is most surely sweet on pizza-pie, try one of these Toronto spots perfect for family nights out on the town—Italian style.
-
Terroni
Uptown, but not uptight. Despite the sleek surroundings, Terroni's Yonge and Price St. location—known as a bit of a hot spot—is a hit for families wanting to feed hungry kids delicious pizza. With over 20 gourmet options, there's something for everyone.
-
Pizzeria Libretto
Score a seat by the oven, or with toddlers in tow try the seats in the very back, at this busy, hip and mouth-watering pizza restaurant that has everyone in the city singing its praises (in part because its 900 degree wood burning oven can cook a pie in less than 90 seconds—perfect for hungry kids perilously close to a meltdown).
-
Grazie Ristorante
We sneak in a request for their multi-grain pizza dough, but other than that we leave the topping choices up to the kids at Grazie since the selections are plenty at this always-bustling Yonge-North-of Eglinton family restaurant that is used to serving kids, adults and everyone in between.
-
Ferraro 502
Forest Hill's Ferraro 502 is always completely prepped for kids. Meaning they offer attentive service, quickly clean up repeatedly spilled glasses of water without a grimace (trust us on this) and provide pizza options the kids will wolf down, including Nutella—if you'll allow it.
-
Viccino Pizzeria
A casual Beach-based wood-oven pizzeria, offering thin crust make-your-own pizzas or select from a dozen menu options. The kids loved that they easily accommodated special requests (half cheese, half pepperoni and chicken) and we loved the down-to-earth pricing.
-
Buddha Pie
Seating is admittedly limited—there are two small tables—but even if you find it's standing room only (or pack up and go) even the pickiest pizza eater will have something positive to say about their spectacular pizzas. The adults loved their 'Black and Blue' pizza while the kids could not get enough of the 'Old School Pepperoni.'
-
Lil' Baci
We love Lil' Baci—both its Leslieville location and Yonge and Glebe St. spot. Offering fresh, aromatic, mouth-watering pizzas in a child-friendly, yet elegant, environment, it's a great idea for date night (we mean sans kids) too.
-
Queen Margherita Pizza
With their Leslieville location continuing to reel in the regulars, and another location (Dundas West) coming later this year, the Jane and Annette St. ‘Napoletana'-style pizzeria continues the tradition, offering twelve different wood-fired, authentic-ingredient pizzas for every preference, including kids who turn up their noses at anything
but an all-cheese assortment of toppings.
