Our Editor's Picks for the Best of June
Twitter See All Email

It’s July already. In fact, it’s close to half-way through, but I’m still recovering from the chaos of June and all of the events and activities that come with wrapping up the school year. In case you were as busy as I was, I thought you might like to see some highlights of the month in review from the archives.

There were some great gift ideas in the Father’s Day Gift Guide which can easily translate into good ideas for cottage gift ideas as well (think: STEAK book by Mark Schatzker accompanied by the George Foreman Propane Grill and Griddle).

If you visited the blogs, you’ll have seen some great contests that are still running, like the Picture Yourself on SavvyMom Photo Contest (this month, the theme is ‘Summer Splash’, so be sure to enter), our In the Sweet Kitchen cookbook contest and the Little Tikes 40 Days of Summer Giveaway contest.

I also really liked Sarah’s blog asking if ‘Motherhood is the New Oppression’—a response to Margaret Wente’s Globe and Mail article from a few weeks ago. You might also be interested in the recipe ideas for soccer snacks—that was a popular one with our readers.

Before you let the kids out in this weather, be sure to review our summer skincare article and our guide to July.

And pay attention to the tip that reads ‘Do Nothing’. I hope you are listening and enjoy the rest of the month!
