She's Connected Conference

This week is a busy one at SavvyMom Media.

We finally announced the winner of the SavvyMom Mom Entrepreneur of the Year Award and congratulations to Laura Berg of My Smart Hands (clearly it’s not just her hands that are smart).

We also announced the launch of a social media program called Well on Their Way that we’re doing in partnership with Mabel’s Labels, Tail Wags helmet covers and more great mom-run companies.

And on Wednesday October 20, we’re very pleased to be sponsors and speakers at the inaugural She’s Connected Conference, which is all about connecting top brands with Canada’s most influential and powerful digital women, being held in Toronto at the Toronto Reference Library (one of my favourite buildings in the city, by the way). There will be 100 amazing digitally connected women there and 10 national brands who will be participating, including Kobo, Coca-Cola, Maple Leaf, Calvin Klein Fragrances, Bourjois Paris, Smashbox Cosmetics, Look Good Feel Better, Egg Farmers of Ontario, Booty Camp Fitness, Corby Distilleries and Kraft Foods.

We’re looking forward to sharing our insights and expertise on what it’s like to grow, build and manage a digital community today. The landscape has changed so much since we launched five years ago and it’s a very exciting time to be in the digital world with such an engaged audience that we know advertisers are looking so hard to reach.

I’m also looking forward to making new contacts and learning from all of the other esteemed speakers and Canadian digital glitterati, such as Donna Marie Antoniadis, Co-Founder & CEO of She’s Connected Multi-Media Corp., Louise Clements, SVP, Digital Strategist for MacLaren McCann Canada Inc., Maureen Dennis, Founder & CEO of Wee Welcome, Sidney Eve Matrix, Assistant Professor and Queen’s National Scholar in the Media and Film Department at Queen’s University and founder of Matrix Media Fx, Malle Vallik, Director of Digital Content and Social Media for Harlequin Enterprises Ltd., Joanne Thomas Yaccato, author and specialist in helping companies apply gender intelligence, The Thomas Yaccato Group and more.

Hope to see you there.
