All of Toronto is a stage these days—with the TIFF going on, of course. The stars are in town, people with good blow dries are cruising the streets, famous people are gracing us with their presence and here we are…making breakfast, filling water bottles and changing diapers. Is there something wrong with this picture?
Not if you get a ticket to see one of the movies! Just one night out on the town at TIFF is all a mom with a minivan needs to feel like she’s part of the scene. And that is exactly what Sarah and I are going to do tonight. We’ve got tix to the premiere (note: premiere=gala=red carpet) of The Bang Bang Club. I have no idea if it’s a good movie because I haven’t seen it yet. But I can tell you that we’ll be picked up in a Cadillac SRX—driver included—and we’ll be chauffered around for the evening to dinner, drinks, movie and then home again.
Keep in mind that Cadillac is the official car of the TIFF (the one that is driving around all the celebs), so it will be rather fun to arrive at the show all ready for the red carpet…we’ll keep you posted on how that goes for us.
