Easy Baked Oatmeal
You'll Need
- 3¼ cups oats (not instant or steel-cut)
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla
- ¼ cup butter
Prep and Cook
- Combine the oats, baking powder, salt, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a medium-sized mixing bowl and stir well.
- Whisk together the milk, eggs, maple syrup and vanilla in a small bowl.
- When you’re ready to bake the oatmeal, preheat the oven to 350°F. Place the butter in pie plate and set it in the oven to melt while the oven is warming.
- Combine the dry and wet ingredients. When the butter has melted, remove the pie plate from the oven and add the oatmeal mixture, stirring it into the butter.
- Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and serve with milk.
Good to Know: This recipe is easy to adjust for variations of flavour. Here are a couple of other options.
