Homemade Tzatziki

Homemade Tzatziki

Serves 4

You'll Need
  • 1 English cucumber
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon, approximately 2 Tbsp
    Prep and Cook
    1. Trim the ends off the cucumber and coarsely grate. Place cucumber in a small bowl and sprinkle salt over it. Let stand for 5 minutes.
    2. Combine yogurt, sour cream, garlic and lemon juice in a small bowl and mix well. Drain cucumber, squeezing out excess water, and add it to the bowl. Toss to combine and add additional salt to taste.
    3. Serve tzatziki with pitas and sliced vegetables.
