Bento Box Lunch(Serve with Bear Paw Crackers)

The first step to getting your children to eat their lunch is to get them involved. Take a trip to the grocery store and have them choose a couple of their favourite foods to include in a simple bento box lunch.

When packing a Bento Box, include foods high in protein, such as ham, tuna, turkey kielbasa, chicken, eggs and/or cheese (BabyBel, marble cheddar, provolone) cut into chunks, strips or slices, a handful of fruit (cherries, grapes, strawberries) and a few vegetables (carrots, cucumbers, snap peas, cherry tomatoes) and place them in a divided container. Include a mini bun or crackers and you have a well-balanced, litter-free lunch that took very little effort to prepare.

A bento box lunch should also include a drink—water, milk or 100% fruit juice.
