Whoever coined the phrase ‘The whole is greater than the sum of its parts’ probably had mom entrepreneurs in mind. Because when you add up mom (hard job) plus entrepreneur (another hard job) you get mom entrepreneur, a calculation we find pretty impressive.
That’s why for the last five years, we’ve been searching out Canadian mom entrepreneurs to celebrate their innovation and success through the SavvyMom Mom Entrepreneur of the Year Award. We’re thrilled to announce the 5th annual award program is open for nominations. Together with PayPal Canada and a host of amazing prize partners, we’ve got a $15,000 prize to give away to Canada’s Top Mom Entrepreneur.
To be nominated to win, mom entrepreneurs can visit momentrepreneuraward.ca and fill out a short nomination form. SavvyMom readers and nominee supporters can visit the site to cast votes until September, when we announce our top 10 winners. Then our panel of judges—all mom entrepreneur experts—will choose the final winner.
And speaking of winners, there are more prizes to be won (17 more in fact). New this year is daily voting, so you can come back every day to show your support for your favourite mom entrepreneurs—and when you do, you’ll be entered in a weekly draw for one of 17 amazing label prize packages from Mabel’s Labels (the very first winners of the SavvyMom Mom Entrepreneur of the Year Award, no less) worth $110 each.
If you’re a mom entrepreneur, you know what to do. If you’re not one, but you know one who is, be sure to tell her about our award. Support mom entrepreneurs by spreading the word and remember to vote. It all adds up to a win for everyone in the end.
