Ryan Jaide Designs, founded by Calgary seamstress, teacher, entrepreneur and mom of two girls, Chandra Lebenhagen’s inspired bedding designs for her daughters’ nurseries (middle names, Ryan and Jaide) launched her into an online store featuring designer fabric, functional design and personal advice to other moms looking to enliven their children’s space.
Duvet covers, pillows, window dressing and blankets from the FUNdamentals line are made from 100% combed cotton and are available online. Ordering is quick and straight forward with many fabrics such as Disco Dot, Lasso Lessons and Feeling Groovy in stock with completed products often ready to go within a month. Duvet covers start at $59.99 and are machine washable.
The LUX line offers designer alternatives presented in coordinated packages. Fabric choices range from cotton to cozy wool-flannel to pretty satin. Check out Metagraphics, a modern look designed to work from babies to teens. Packages start at $249 for crib bedding.
Ryan Jaide Designs’ fabric selections are updated every two to three months and they will order fabric by request or work with any fabric provided. Chandra Lebenhagen also provides design advice (by request) ranging from coordinating fabric selections to window treatment and even nursery design. Most communication takes place via email and the words of wisdom are free of charge to clients.
