A green wave is washing over our fair city and we couldn’t be happier. After many moons of browns and grays we finally have green leaves, green grass and a fresh green attitude thanks to our brand new curbside recycling program.
Of course we all know that recycling is just one of the eco-R’s and we need to do more…but while there’s no shortage of facts about the green revolution, it can be tough to dig through the greenwashing and unearth sources of reliable information.
In our quest for answers and solutions, we found Kerry Kaufman, owner of Green Plan-it and savvy mom of two school-aged boys. She started Green Plan-It with a mandate to share her in depth knowledge to other parents and grandparents in the community concerned about the toxins in their home and the legacy being handed down to the next generation.
Green Plan-It teaches courses like Eco Baby 101 or Goin’ Green for Parents to groups (think playgroup or book club) or individuals and provides a Resource Guide to help you source out additional information .
We know you’ve mastered recycling. Now it’s time to catch the green wave with fresh ideas on reducing, and reusing as well.
All you need are the right tools and advice. Then it’s easy being green.
