Gift Wrapping
Just Like a Boy Scout

All SavvyMoms know that being prepared is everything. And when it comes to holiday wrapping, there is no exception.

But let’s admit it, after schlepping the gifts home from the shops, that final task can seem a little daunting (you know, just like getting the clean folded clothes out of the laundry basket and into the drawers).

You need a solution to ensure that you are always prepared for life’s (gift wrapping) emergencies, and one that won’t break your weary wallet.

We found just that in a ‘trade secret’ warehouse full of wrapping, bags, tissue, ribbons, boxes, pouches and more. The place is Creative Bag. One trip here and you’ll be geared up for the wrapping season and a year’s worth of birthday parties too.

To make the holidays simpler, we chose a huge roll of the lime pearl solid paper (you know, that ‘now’ green colour) and an organza ribbon from a display wall larger than your local cereal aisle. You can also buy grosgrain and satin in every width and colour imaginable, as well as printed ribbons. (We like the Happy Birthday and the baby footprints.)

Don’t forget to check out the two-sided wrapping papers—we love the blue/berry combination for our birthday stash. The blue side works for the boys and the purple looks great with a pink grosgrain ribbon for the princesses in your life.

All the prices are very reasonable—finally you can indulge in that magazine-style wrapping you thought was only for Martha.

So, now that that’s all wrapped up, you can finally get to the laundry basket. What bliss. (It’s all glamour being a SavvyMom.)
