While the battle of the loonie and the greenback continues, you know you want to take advantage of the situation while our dollar is so strong. We have just the idea: take your family on a Walt Disney World vacation and give them some memories to last a lifetime.
Now, may we suggest some tips to guide you through your first Walt Disney World vacation?
Decide When to Go: Remember that you will face smaller crowds and lower prices during off-peak times (i.e. not during school break). You might even consider celebrating a special event with your family at Walt Disney World.
Stay at Least a Week: Family vacationers are drawn to Walt Disney World Resort for its four theme parks. The four parks are very different experiences and each is worth a visit. And with compelling recreation and entertainment outside the theme parks—plus the appeal of the resort hotels themselves—you’ll want to take time to enjoy it all!
Stay at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel: With four categories of Resort hotels to choose from, anything from Value Resorts to Deluxe Villas, Disney offers accommodations to suit every budget (you will even find camping sites). Resort guests can avail of complimentary airport transfer and luggage service, extra time in the theme park (extra Magic Hours allow hotel guests extended open hours in one of the theme parks each day to enjoy select attractions) and the complimentary and convenient transportation among all Disney Parks and Resorts that eliminates any worry about parking.
Customize Your Vacation: With Disney’s “Magic Your Way” packages you decide the hotel category you want to stay in and how many days you want to go to the theme parks. You decide if you want to park hop—that is, visit more than one park on a day. You decide if you want to go to attractions outside the theme parks—such as the Disney water parks. And longer stays mean savings per day on tickets. For more information on affordable Magic Your Way packages click here.
Consider the Disney Dining Plan: It’s a tasty way to save up to 40% per person on dining. Choose snacks and meals at selected restaurants throughout Walt Disney World Resort including some that feature Disney Character Dining! Best of all, you can relax knowing many of your meals are paid for in advance.
Keep It Simple: Walt Disney World Resort has enough fun and activities for ten vacations. Remember the age and abilities of your family when planning your trip and be sure to include some rest and downtime so the troops are not too tired. Don’t over-schedule. Based on your research and the recommendations of friends and family, decide on a few “must-do” adventures and leave the rest of the time for discovery and surprises.
Remember the Essentials: a camera, a hat, sunscreen and smiles. Also, if you’re travelling by air you’ll need to have a passport for every family member—even the kids. Disney has a lot of great passport information on their website, Disneyworld.ca, you may want to check it out.
Plan Ahead: Visit www.Disneyworld.ca to obtain great tips on what to see, where to go and where to stay during your Walt Disney World vacation. You will also want to order your FREE Disney Parks Vacation Planning DVD by clicking here. It contains great planning tips, tours of Walt Disney World Resort, tips on affordable ways to play and stay and so much more and it’s FREE!
And don’t forget to have fun!
