Mommy’s Little Helper

Happy Helperz
Mommy’s Little Helper

Every mom needs a helper and that helper can come in any shape or size. If the said helper is a happy one, even better.

Leave it to a former teacher and newly minted mom entrepreneur, Heidi Girvan (mom of three), to come up with Happy Helperz. It’s a brand spanking new company that makes products that help moms. But more importantly, it helps to mould our kids into the right kind of helpers we all dream of—happy ones.

Happy Helperz makes three organizational products that enable children of all ages to learn to take responsibility for themselves and their belongings. They foster independence by empowering kids to do things on their own. That, in turn, builds self-esteem, confidence and happy children—who help their mom.

Take the Self Set Placemat ($7.99) as an example. It gives the kids a project to do while you scramble to get food on the table. These mats help them learn to set the table and use utensils properly (always good to know).

Backpack BuddyThe only question we have about the Backpack Buddy ($24.99) is whose buddy is it? Moms love that this easy learning system helps kids to remember all the stuff they need to bring to school with them (which makes it mom’s buddy). You can stick it in a backpack, display it on the wall, or carry the cards on a ring and attach them to a backpack. The self-adhesive velcro cards can be customized weekly or daily so your children can check their own backpack for that library book, lunch bag or running shoes. Kids love it because they feel good about being responsible for their own stuff (making it their buddy, too).

Tidy Toy LabelsNow what about all those new arrivals into your home from the North Pole last month? If you’re looking for an organizing system to help you and your kids sort everything properly, look no further than the Tidy Toy Labels. You’ll have labels for all your bins and boxes that your children will understand. They don’t just help kids find the toys they want (when they want) but more importantly, they help them to put toys away (when you want). That adds a whole lot of giddy-up to your tidy up time.

Imagine a world where all playthings have a home, there are no lost school items and kids help around the kitchen. Just thinking about it makes us happy.
