PartySavvy: Fiesta Party
Mexican Fiesta
Spice things up for the little senoritas and senors by throwing a loud and colourful Fiesta Party for your next birthday bash.
Guests will jump at the chance to slice into this beautiful Jumping Bean Rainbow Cake. Celebrate in Southwestern style with these Mayan Chocolate Cupcakes or try these Spanish Baked Cinnamon Churros—they’ll love the soft yet crispy combo (mmm…donuts).
Fiestas are all about the food. You can’t go wrong with Mac and Cheese done the Mexican way or with the party staple Nacho Chips with Layer Dip. Serve them with these bite-sized Chicken Tacos and Fiesta Fruit Cups. Wash it all down with this sweet and refreshing Raspberry Agua Fresca—it’s a perfect alternative to the classic margarita, but that’s not to say you can’t have one later (you might need it).
Colour, colour, colour is all you need to focus on when decorating—there’s no matching or coordination needed. From neon blue, green, orange, red, pink and yellow, the decor, and your guests, will be anything but mellow.
What kind of fiesta doesn’t have a pinata? Definitely not this one. Have the kids take a whack at it for some candy or for a faster paced game, play Pass the Sombrero. For the little tikes, turn up the music and let them pretend to be Mexican Jumping Beans.

There’s no need to wait for Cinco de Mayo to come around again to throw a Fiesta Party. You—and your kids—will be very ‘contento’ with this birthday theme for their next party.
