Seamless
Just in case you didn’t get everything you wanted for Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day this year we have a little retail therapy solution to help ease the pain. And when we say little, we mean little—as in undies.
Repeat after us—“moms can wear thongs”. But for those of you who just don’t want to go there, we also have some new solutions (beyond the thong) to beat the panty line conundrum.
The Classic
Hanky Pankies thongs have been our stand-by fave for a while now. They fit every mom with their miracle one-size-fits-all and they are comfy and pretty at the same time. Not too racy, not too skimpy, for first time thong-ers, these are a great place to start. Apparently stars like Kelly Ripa and Cameron Diaz wear them too! (Widely available in fine lingerie stores across Canada and online at www.myfilosophy.com for $26)
The Latest
It happens to the best of us. A quick bend down to pick up Jack or Jill and there it is for the world to see—the undie shot, whether it’s your thong, mommy briefs or old pair of Jockeys. Smart Ass, a Vancouver-based company, initially set out to distract the eye from what is not always our most prized ass-et (get it?) and designed thong underwear with witty messages like ‘Control Freak’ and ‘Domestic Diva’ written on the back (or should we say rear). But that’s not all we like about them—they actually feel great too. ($20 at www.smartassthongs.com)
The Good Alternative
On an undie budget? Seamless thongs and briefs are also available for a great price at La Senza where the microfibre line of thongs and briefs will keep you seam-free as well.
So bring on the white pants for summer. We’ve got you covered (or not).
