The One You Want

Sleep Solutions by Ann Douglas

Once that seed is planted, sleep is never the same for moms.

We’ve got discomfort during pregnancy, infant night feeds, teething, the move to the big bed, graduation to underwear, nightmares and thunderstorms and all the regular colds, coughs and viruses that keep us awake at night.

Then they start driving…

Sadly, sleep issues don’t go away after the glorious 5 month “we finally got him to sleep through the night” stage.

So what do we moms do and how do we get back onto the beauty sleep track?

There was a day when Dr. Spock was the man and parents had but one resource to draw from.  Limiting, perhaps, but at least easier to know where to start.

Our solution comes from Ann Douglas - one of Canada’s foremost parenting experts who recognizes that sleep and the lack thereof is the number one parenting issue for new (and not so new) parents.  Her just-released book Sleep Solutions for Your Baby, Toddler and Preschooler tackles this difficult issue by letting parents know that there is no “right” solution.

Dr. Spock, Dr. Ferber and The Baby Whisperer (to mention but a few) are all addressed in her book with the pros and cons to each outlined.  With handy charts and quick references throughout, this book is truly the short cut to all sleep resources and the only one you need to choose the right method for your family in the face of today’s overwhelming array of options.

Sleep is a hot commodity, so find more time to do it instead of reading about it.  If you only want one sleep book on your shelf, make it this one.  It’s edited, trusted and practical.  What could be more savvy?
