We’ll cut to the chase.

The winners of the SavvyMom Mom Entrepreneur of the Year Award are Tricia Mumby, Julie Ellis Cole, Julie Cole and Cynthia Esp from Mabel’s Labels. If you don’t know them, you should. They make great labels for all the things kids lose and are truly an inspiration to mom entrepreneurs across Canada. When we asked them for some words of inspiration, here’s what they came back with: “An entrepreneur starts a business to be their own boss. A mompreneur starts a business to be able to make choices. We choose to live as dynamic business owners, enthusiastic mothers and inspired women.”

Whether you are a “Mom Entrepreneur”, you are thinking of becoming one or you know a few (and you like to support their ventures), we hope you participated in the SavvyMom Mom Entrepreneur of the Year Award as a voter or a nominee.

There were almost 400 nominees in the award program (and what an incredible variety of businesses) and over 40,000 votes. That’s a huge amount of support for the mom businesses! We were truly impressed and inspired by the stories our nominees had to share and clearly our readers were too as evidenced by the number of votes cast.
