A Better Balance

Workharmony Flexible Work Solutions
Balancing Scales

The word ‘harmony’ is not typically one that is associated with the word ‘work’. But two brave women, Savvymoms with years of professional work experience behind them, have launched a business called workharmony, with the hopes of making sense of the phrase.

To moms, their business makes so much sense you are left wondering why you didn’t think of it yourself. Workharmony is a recruitment service that specializes in finding flexible employment for professional women. In business-speak, they offer non-traditional employment opportunities for individuals while providing employers access to an untapped talent pool of experienced professionals. MBA mom, meet your talent pool.

Deborah Meek and Kristina Pearce started their business in June 2008, after working for years as an advertising executive and finance analyst respectively. Both women watched other moms come and go on mat leaves. They watched how difficult that gap was for the company and the mom, and they knew that many women were not willing to go back to their previous work environment despite their talents. But what they really saw was a huge untapped talent pool of women who simply needed to know that flexible work arrangements existed. Workharmony strives to collect up that talent and make that match made in heaven between the right work solution for moms and employers who need them. Jobs include everything from part-time physician opportunities to home office marketing positions to executive roles.

Flexibility is the new ‘balance’, in case you hadn’t heard. So if you’re striving for either and are not sure where to get started, try Workharmony.

A harmonious future is sure to follow.
