Don’t Stuff It…Store It

The talk these days is all about de-cluttering, streamlining, simplifying. Clear out your wardrobes, de-clutter your bookshelves and streamline your remote control system.

Clutter is out.

Less is more.

We get it, but as moms, we also know that a de-cluttered home is a worthy aspiration with lots of barriers to getting there. You might run an at-home business and desperately need a place to store inventory or trade show materials. Maybe you have furniture from an old family home you want to hang on to for sentimental reasons but there’s not enough space in your current family home right now to keep it. That old sofa is going to the cottage in the summer but has nowhere to live until the winter is over. You’ve got a bit of a holiday season decoration fetish, you’re tired of tripping over the skis, the hockey bag, the snowmobile…the list goes on.

What do the clutter police say about these scenarios?

Four words. All Canadian Self-Storage.

But don’t let the “SELF” word fool you into thinking it is too much work. In fact, at All Canadian Self-Storage (ACSS) you have options and their team is definitely there to help.

With the self-storage option, you simply order the storage unit and bring your goods to the storage center. (And if you pre-pay for year, they’ll even lend you a truck (no charge) to bring everything there.)

With the mobile storage option, you call and order one of their special storage containers which is delivered to your home, fill it up with your precious belongings, secure the container with your own lock and then call and leave it for the All Canadian Self-Storage truck to come along and collect it for you and take it to the storage facility for safekeeping. Wait—it gets better! When you want your belongings returned, just give them a call and they will return your goods to any location of your choice in the GTA and surrounding areas.

The space is clean as a whistle, safe (with 24 hour monitoring and daily inspection among other things) and accessible. The price is right too—starting at $15/month—there’s a wide range of sizes available, from 5’ x 5’ (a small closet) to 10’ x 30’ (a double garage). And, in addition to their two other GTA locations, All Canadian Self-Storage just opened a brand new location in central Toronto, where they offer the first drive-through storage facility in Canada. (Now that is news a mom can use!)

All Canadian Self-Storage is also a great resource if you’re planning a renovation and need to put household items in storage for some time too. They also offer packing supplies for sale and will accept deliveries on your behalf right to the storage unit (great for small businesses). It’s the storage solution you never knew you needed.

So don’t ditch all your old pine furniture just because it is not on trend right now. You have a great place to store it now. (After all it just might be back in one day.)
