First Foods

First Food Organics
This organic options is one you’ll definitely want to feed your kids first.

As your little bud grows, so does their taste.

They need more than just milk. So we shop, chop, cook, purée, mash and freeze…

Or we buy First Food Organics.

For every mother who loves to make her own baby food, there’s one who doesn’t (or doesn’t have time). Toronto-based First Food Organics offers gourmet baby food that is preservative and additive-free, along with meat, egg, gluten, soy, nut and dairy-free options. Tailored for babies aged 6 to 8 months and 8 months and up, First Food Organics are found at select retailers in Ontario, and home delivery of their products is available.

Pre-made baby food often gets a bad rap (and in some cases, rightfully so) but First Food Organics puts good food, excellent nutrition and great flavour first. Their recipe roster includes roasted pear, baked apple and velvety sweet potato (for 6 months and up), as well as the addition of flax, quinoa, ginger and chickpea mixed in with blueberries, peas, squash and more (8 months and up). Locally-grown produce is sourced as often as possible, and the company’s kitchen is 100% organic certified.

Jenn Clark, a young parent and president of First Foods, couldn’t find the quality she was looking for in ready-made baby foods and started the company to meet her needs. Her staff slow cooks the fruits and vegetables in small batches, then flash freezes the portions for delivery in beautiful freezer packages, ensuring all the taste and nutrients stay intact from their door to yours. Fabulous.

We know not to drop the ‘F-bomb’ with kids around, but these two are appropriate: flash frozen.
