You’ve heard about the 103,000 square foot Bear Track Landing waterpark, with its 13 slides, indoor and outdoor pools and four-story treehouse waterfort, that has kids splashing and smiling all day long.
You’ve heard about the fantastic themed rooms that make the kids feel like they are sleeping in a log cabin, while Mom and Dad can relax beside them in their own ‘room within a room’.
You’ve even heard about the Cub Club (complete with a full range of activities and crafts and super-fun, kids-only PJ parties conveniently scheduled at Mom and Dad dinnertime), the morning Wolf Walk, and the evening interactive storytime in the incredible animated themed Grand Living Room, complete with a forest full of friends for the children. And of course you know about the welcoming, smiling staff who are there to do whatever they can to help families Create Traditions One Family at a Time.
But even if you have experienced all of this excitement, the fun just keeps coming at Great Wolf Lodge Niagara Falls so ‘been there, done that’ just doesn’t apply. This summer the lodge has introduced some amazing new programs so there’s even more to enjoy for the whole family.
Mom will want to visit the newly renovated Elements Spa, featuring Aveda and EmerginC products, and enjoy some of the skin care and body therapies (Niagara Maple Indulgence Vichy Scrub, anyone?). And while she’s relaxing in the new tranquility room, the little girls can visit Scooops Kid Spa and indulge in its menu of ice-cream themed services like the Chocolate Covered Strawberry Manicure or the Gummy Worm Pedicure, complete with nail polish colours like ‘Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds’. (Our little savvy scouts said it was ‘the best’!)
You’ll want to sign up the aspiring lifeguards in the family for the Lodge’s first edu-tainment program (more to come), Be a Junior Lifeguard, where they will have a chance to dress like a lifeguard, learn emergency responses and much more. And the whole family will appreciate Project Green Wolf, the lodge’s new environmental commitment to conserving the planet for future generations, which includes recycling, and energy reduction, making a stay at the Lodge much more green.
Of course, every great vacation has great food, and there is no shortage of new delights at the Lodge. The freshly-revamped buffet in Antler Shanty Grub, where the food is prepared a la minute (read—no more warming over the steam table for hours), features seasonal, fresh local Niagara ingredients, made to order items such as omelettes, pastas and stir-fries and a complete camp-inspired menu with fun names like the Campfire Sundae, Biko Burger and Moccasin Fries.
The whole family can enjoy dinner al fresco at the Crazy Loon Grill where the outdoor BBQ offers up delicious dinners of local produce and wine pairings. Mama Bears will love the roasted chicken with chevre, Iniskillin Cabernet Franc and local blueberries, while Papa Bears can chow down on the grilled Cowboy steak. Everyone will enjoy the great band playing poolside, and the Tableside S’mores for the cubs are sure to be a hit.
And for an after-dinner treat, visit the chocolate dipping station in the Bear Claw Café, where kids can pick from their choice or marshmallows or rice crisp squares, dipped in chocolate and slathered in sprinkles (and a bargain at only $1.25 we might add).
The family financier will appreciate the new PawPass, which grants you numerous savings and specials throughout the lodge, and includes your very own personalized waterpark tube to take home. And to get a headstart on a fun day in the Waterpark, breakfast is now served at the Spirit Island Café, right beside the wave pool, starting at $3.99.
As they like to say at Great Wolf Lodge: “Life’s Great—Experience It”.
