April Showers, April Showers, April Showers.
Get out your wellies and umbrella and embrace the warmer temps. Spring is just around the corner (it really, really is).
DO
Take down the holiday season decorations (believe it or not, you’re not the only one with a wreath still on your door) and change your front door mat so the mud doesn’t track through everywhere. Replace snowpants with helmets in that premium grab-and-go spot by the back door. (Don’t put hats away just yet.)
Why? So you can enjoy the spring.
GET
Some Tag-Mates™ name tags from Mabel’s Labels for your kid’s clothes. They go right on the care-tag labels of your clothes with NO ironing (yes, you read that right) and can withstand washing, drying and wear and tear.
Why? ‘Tis the season for leaving outerwear all over the place as the days grow warmer. You really don’t want to say goodbye to that little jacket or sweatshirt quite just yet.
PLAY
In the garden with your kids. Plant a seed, rake some grass or stuff some daffodils in your flowerboxes.
Why? Kids love to muck around in the garden and nothing says welcome to spring like a tulip or daffodil.
HELP
Buy tickets or offer to volunteer for A Family Affair.
Why? SavvyMom is the presenting sponsor and the entire team has been working on the event, so we are sure it will be the family event of the year! Join us on Sunday, May 6 for an unforgettable afternoon of fun for the whole family (no babysitter required!) and support SickKids Foundation.
GO
Hear what Alyson Schafer has to say about “Breaking the Good Mom Myth—Every Modern Mom’s Guide to Getting Past Perfection, Regaining Sanity, and Raising Great Kids” at the Rainbows Canada speaker series from April 12 to May 6.
Why? Because we’re sure your kids are perfect, but it’s always nice to be reminded of it from the experts once in a while.
And may (no pun intended) the next month bring flowers.
For more inspiration on getting set for April, see what we had to say last year (like don’t forget this is prime season for signing the kids up for summer camps and all your spring activities!)
