Shopping online just keeps getting better and better. The challenge these days is in knowing where the good sites are so you can be more efficient with your online spending time. (Hey, it beats solitaire at lunch.)
So here’s a site to keep in your favourites. The hip Leslieville store is called Lumière and it has long been a fave of ours. Now, finally, it has opened up its online doors so that we can share its modern and whimsical style with our readers.
Lumierekids.ca was started by mom entrepreneur and woman of exceptional French flair and taste, Anne-Sophie Falconer. Her story is simple. She came to Canada from across the pond to learn English and she found love. She stayed with her beloved and a child was born.
When shopping for baby gear and nursery items, Anne Sophie was dismayed at her options. (She was not in Paris anymore—need we say more.) So like most mom entrepreneurs we know, Anne-Sophie took matters into her own hands and developed a line of baby products that suited her sense of style (and ours too).
We have always been fans of her handmade mobiles and we’re very fond of the stroller blankets too.
You can go the whole hog and order your entire nursery set from cribs to blankets and stylish accessories.
We’re not saying it’s inexpensive, but it certainly is lovely. If you have a special gift to buy, something from Lumière is certain to light up someone’s life.
