It’s June…ballet recitals, soccer tournaments, and preschool graduations abound. Soon the kids will be out of their normal routines and then a whole new level of chaos sets in.

This summer, make sure you find some ‘mom time’ with a Passport to Prana. It lets you try some different styles of yoga on the cheap (and what’s not to like about that). Victoria has dozens of studios, offering multiple styles of yoga taught by thousands of teachers. Choosing the right class for you can be downright confusing, not to mention expensive. Passport to Prana gives everybody (from beginners to seasoned yogis) the freedom to try the city’s best yoga studios by eliminating the cost barrier.

The $20 passport entitles its holder to one free regularly-scheduled yoga class at each of the participating studios. Every style of yoga is represented, and the passport is valid until December 31, 2010.

Whether you’re looking for something slow and meditative, or vigorous and challenging, there is a range of styles to suit your needs and it’s an excellent way to discover what kind of yoga works for you. Eleven different studios in and around Victoria are participating. From Sooke through Saanich to Sidney, there is no excuse not to give yoga a try. Many of the studios offer mother-and-child yoga as well, so a planned yoga class before or after you hit the beach or park for the day could be in the works.
