With every year comes the glorious mom challenge of creating a birthday party that’s different than the last. Fortunately for us Victorians, there are some awesome venues and services to help make the event memorable for the kids and easier for Mom.
Here are three of our favourites:
In Your Own Home
Par-T-Perfect Event & Party Planners offers a full range of party fun with inflatables, over-sized games and even party planners to assist in executing the perfect party at home. They cater to kids of all ages and have enough specialty themes to please any age or gender. Older kids would like the inflatable obstacle course, while younger ones might like a princess castle or a pirate ship. The staff is young, energetic and helpful—and there’s nothing better than an extra set of helping hands at a party.
Out and About
The Shaw Ocean Discovery Centre is an incredible, world-class facility that offers birthday parties in underwater themes for preschoolers to tweens. We like the Sea Shirt Party where kids can paint a T-shirt with the sea creatures and plants they have learned about and seen. While the Centre doesn’t offer food or drinks, the outdoor waterfront park that surrounds it is the perfect spot to have a picnic, eat some cake and open presents.
Cute and Cuddly
Honing in on the charity birthday party theme, the Victoria SPCA offers space for kids to celebrate their day and help animals at the same time. A birthday party includes two hours in a kids’ meeting space with activities, arts, crafts and games, and a guided tour of the facility where kids can spend time with some of the adoptable animals and learn about what the SPCA does. They even offer goody bags with treats.
Whether you want to have the party at home or take it somewhere else, these solutions will help you plan the best party yet. Until next year, that is.
