Wild Granola Bars

Makes 12

You'll Need
  • ½ cup butter, melted and cooled
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups large flaked oats
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
Prep and Cook
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Combine the maple syrup, vanilla, egg, and cooled butter in a small bowl and whisk well.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the oats, cinnamon, salt, flour, and chocolate chips. Pour the syrup mixture over the dry ingredients and mix with a spatula.
  4. Spoon the batter into a parchment-lined 9”x13” baking dish, press the mixture down firmly into the dish, including the corners and sides.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely.
  6. Cut into long, thin granola bars and store in the fridge until ready to serve.
