Create a ‘spooky’ treasure map with your kids of the route you plan to take for trick-or-treating—avoiding busy roads and any criss-crossing. This way you agree to a plan ahead of time and avoid any meltdowns if they want to go longer. A special treasure at the end of the night is a good idea, too.
