Pike Place Market / Seattle in 15 Hours

We had a brief experience with Seattle last week – and by brief I mean we spent about 15 hours in the city. Originally, Seattle had not been in our plans, but we decided to make a detour on our way back from Portland to Vancouver, and I’m so glad we did!

The Pike Place Market is so iconic… I have seen the big Public Market sign in countless TV shows and movies (and of course the one that stands out is Catherine and Sean’s season of the bachelor!). We booked last minute rooms on hotwire and were excited to stay at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco which was centrally located and only about a 10-minute walk from the market. Our first stop was the original Starbucks where I grabbed an americano misto which tasted just the same as it does at every other starbucks:)
