Circus Play Cafe
Circus Play Cafe is an adorable play space in East Van at Commercial/12th, filled with books, toys, things to climb on and more. Admission is free for babies, $4 for ‘crawlers' (6-14 months) and $7 for 15 months to pre K. They also offer classes and workshops.

City Yoga
We are in Vancouver after all, so how about some yoga? The City of Vancouver offers affordable yoga passes (less than $10 per class when you sign up for a multi-week session) across the city. There's classes for teens, kids, families, ‘baby and me' and more.

Learn to Make Pizza
Every Sunday and Monday between 5 and 7 pm, Rocky Mountain Flatbread hosts pizza making nights, where kids (12 and under) can make their own pizza for just $8. There are two locations: in Kits at 1st/Cypress and on Main at 26th. Come hungry.

The Bloedel Conservatory

Go for a Swim
Jump (or cannonball) into one of the nine public indoor swimming pools across Vancouver. Admission is $5.86 for adults, $4.19 for youth (13-18), $2.95 for children (3-12) and kids under 3 are free. Rates are further discounted if you buy a 10-visit pass.

Go for a Ride Around Town
It's simple, but it's true: kiddos love public transit. For just a few dollars, you can journey around the city on the bus, SkyTrain or SeaBus and point out the sights, from Science World and BC Place to the mountains and ocean. Hours of entertainment!

Go to Storytime at Cartems Donuterie
Every Monday at 10:30 am, Cartems Donuterie at Main/6th hosts children's storytime and activities. The event is free, but trust us—it's basically impossible to spend time in there without wanting to spend a few dollars on one of their delicious creations. It's a bright, open, friendly space.

ArtStarts offers free arts-based family workshops once a month (ideal for ages 5 and up) in both Vancouver and New Westminster. Sign up for their newsletter online to find out about upcoming events. Workshops take place on a Saturday at 11 am and 1 pm.
