Who doesn't have fond memories of playing mini golf as a kid? It's a low-cost activity that the whole family can do together, and since no special gear is required, an outing can be totally spontaneous to boot. There are a few great spots right here in town, and even more outside the city, so you're sure to find one that feels like a hole-in-one for your family. Here are a few of our faves.

Next, take your Dory and Nemo fans to the Coral Sea-themed course—also a sight to behold. If the weather is too nice to be inside, take your game outside and try out their amazing 18-hole outdoor mini golf course, complete with huge houses, castles, and a classic spinning windmill.
-

This 18-hole course will take you through different levels of fun (think: waterfalls and trains!) in a logging-themed course that ties in some of the history of the area. It's a course perfect for some family fun…and competition.

Pacific Adventure Golf at Playland: Hastings-Sunrise, downtown Vancouver
If you are going to be visiting Playland this spring or summer (it opens May 7), be sure to play a round of mini golf while you're there. Putt your way through a challenging, obstacle filled course.
-
Art Knapp: Surrey
This outdoor, 18-hole mini course will be a hit with the kids. Adults will appreciate that putters of all sizes are available, and that plants and trees are incorporated into the course for a more scenic experience. The kids meanwhile will appreciate a ride the Thomas the Tank Engine train.
-
Eagle Quest: Coquitlam
This is an easier round of mini golf, but still lots of fun. It is located just off the Trans Canada highway. Things can get competitive, just be sure to keep an eye on where you golf ball ends up... hopefully not in the water features.
-
The Great Escape: Langley
If you're looking for a totally unique mini golf course, this is the one for you. Put your putting abilities to the test with an indoor mini golf course that glows under the fluorescent lights. What could be more fun than putting a glow-in-the dark ball? The kids might just be glowing too.
-
Giggle Ridge Adventure Golf: Chilliwack
Part of the Cultus Lake Adventure Park, this course has unique challenges along the way, and takes you through a carton mountain lumber camp. If you manage to sink a hole-in-one on the 18th hole, you win a free game. We love that all ages are welcome, and small strollers are permitted too.
