Hip lounge by night, tea house by day, the Asian inspired Xi Shi has pushed the bar a little higher with their children's 'hot' afternoon tea. Little ones can dine on favourites such as grilled cheese sandwiches, mini burgers and even a Belgian waffle drizzled in chocolate sauce.

Often referred to as 'Tea at the Castle' due to its regal setting within the iconic Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, this is one of the longest running children's tea services in the city. It's so popular with the kids that they even developed a special kid-friendly blend of tea: 'Bubblegum Tea'.

When this West Side bakery needed to move to larger space, they had the wonderful idea of converting their original location into a tea house. Children will be delighted by a menu that includes a delicious 'sprinkle' finger sandwich and a homemade Oreo, and parents will be hard pressed to leave without picking up some of their gorgeous take home baked goods.

Not only does this tea room offer a children's menu including yummy Nutella and jelly sandwiches, petit fours and strawberry sorbet, they also have no less than four different afternoon tea menus for adults. We love the West Coast-themed Afternoon Tea, with miso-maple glazed sable fish in butter lettuce and tea-infused tuna tataki.

Nestled inside of an old courthouse, this very popular tea room gives you yet another reason to visit the historical village and popular day tripper destination of Steveston (just 25 minutes outside of downtown Vancouver). Don't forget to check out their cute little gift shop while you are there.
