Nature Scavenger Hunt – Backyard Camping Activities

A nature scavenger hunt is the perfect activity to get young children excited about your backyard campout and in touch with nature.

You’ll Need

• Scavenger hunt list (click to download)

How to Make

1. Provide each child with a copy of the list and a marker.
2. Guide them through the backyard.
3. Have them mark off the items as they find them until all have been found.

Good to Know: By including an image with each item many children will be able to do this activity on their own. For the younger ones, have them pair up with an older kid or parent.
