LeBreton Flats, Downtown Ottawa & Official Celebration Sites
Canada’s biggest birthday party returns with a full day of free celebrations, including the National Noon Ceremony, interactive family activities, cultural performances, food vendors, and the National Evening Show featuring some of Canada’s biggest musical acts. This year’s lineup includes the Barenaked Ladies, Alessia Cara, Isabelle Boulay, MICO, TOBi, and more.
Tim Hortons Canada Day Fireworks

LeBreton Flats
The evening concludes with the spectacular Tim Hortons Canada Day Fireworks, lighting up the Ottawa skyline in one of Canada’s largest fireworks displays. The show is synchronized to music and visible from several locations throughout the downtown core. Weather permitting.

One of the official Canada Day sites, this area in front of the Supreme Court features interactive games, family entertainment, hands-on activities, performers, and giant screens broadcasting the national ceremonies and evening concert. It’s an excellent choice for families with younger children.

Across the river, Old Hull hosts its own lively Canada Day celebration with live music, street entertainment, food vendors, and a festive atmosphere that complements the celebrations happening in downtown Ottawa.

Clarke Fields Park
One of Ottawa’s largest community Canada Day celebrations features live entertainment, children’s activities, inflatables, food trucks, community displays, and an evening fireworks show. Festivities actually begin on June 30 with a classic car show and country music before continuing all day on Canada Day.

Kanata’s annual Canada Day festivities include family entertainment, live music, children’s programming, food vendors, community activities, and fireworks after dark. It’s a great option for west-end families looking to stay closer to home.

Many of Ottawa’s national museums offer free admission on Canada Day, making it easy to build an entire day around the celebrations. Consider visiting:

Good to know: If you’re heading downtown, leave the car at home. OC Transpo is offering free service on Canada Day, and many downtown streets will be closed for celebrations. Wear comfortable shoes, pack plenty of water, and plan to arrive early if you want a prime spot for the evening fireworks.

Head to Claudette Cain Park on July 1 for a professional Canada Day fireworks display sponsored by the Riverside South Limited Partnership. Enjoy music starting at 8pm and fireworks will begin at dusk (approximately 10pm). Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase at the fieldhouse in the south field (cash only). Glow products will be available for purchase (cash only) in both the south and north fields.

The Osgoode Canada Day celebration ends with fireworks at 9:30pm.
