Toronto’s civic square will be buzzing all day with free entertainment, live music, cultural performances, family-friendly activities, and special FIFA World Cup-themed programming. Kids can enjoy interactive games and activities while parents soak up the festive atmosphere in the heart of downtown. Please note there will be no fireworks at Nathan Phillips Square.

North York’s biggest Canada Day celebration at Mel Lastman Square features live music, buskers, a kids’ zone with inflatables and face painting, food vendors, community programming—and a fireworks show beginning at 10 p.m. It’s one of the city’s best all-day celebrations for families.

Canada’s Wonderland is celebrating Canada Day with five days of live entertainment, Canadian food, street performers, and summer fun. On July 1, families can cap off the day with a fireworks show at 10 p.m., featuring more than 6,000 colourful bursts choreographed to an original soundtrack.

Mississauga’s biggest Canada Day celebration features live entertainment, family activities, cultural programming, more than 30 food trucks and vendors, and a fireworks finale presented by Tim Hortons. Families can also check out nearby FIFA World Cup celebrations happening downtown.

The Streetsville Canada Day Streetfest is a neighbourhood celebration that includes live music, inflatables, interactive family fun, crafts, food, drinks, local shopping, and the Classics on Queen Vintage Car Show. It’s a great option for families looking for a community-style Canada Day outing west of Toronto.
Good to Know:
Fireworks are not permitted in Toronto parks, beaches, streets or public spaces. Personal fireworks may only be set off on private property before 11pm on Canada Day.
If you’re heading to Ashbridges Bay or Woodbine Beach, the TTC will run additional service to help accommodate the large crowds.
With World Cup festivities also taking place across the city, expect larger-than-usual crowds downtown and on the waterfront.
