All About Bluey’s Big Play The Stage Show in Canada

What is Bluey’s Big Play The Stage Show about?

This live show is based on the Emmy-winning TV characters your family already knows and loves. The show follows the adventures of a six-year-old Blue Heeler puppy named Bluey, who lives with her parents, Bandit and Chilli, and her four-year-old sister, Bingo. Together, they pack games, adventures, and learning into each episode.

The Stage Show jumps off that premise and brings FOR REAL LIFE versions of the family to the stage for a brand new adventure. It starts when Bluey’s dad won’t put his cell phone down, and Bluey and Bingo hide it so he has to play with them again. Bluey creator Joe Brumm wrote the story, and the show features new music by show composer Joff Bush.

“Bluey is a celebration of family and play, those fundamental things about life that we sometimes take for granted,” says The Stage Show director Rose Myers. “The show is lots of fun for all the family and a magical experience to share with the little people in your life.”

How Long Is the Show?

Parents with younger kids may be concerned about attention spans, no matter how much children are into these characters. The creators have considered that too. The show runs for about 50 minutes, and there are no intermissions. That’s like getting five episodes of Bluey all rolled into one.

Are There Interactive Elements?

Let’s just say the audience should be on the lookout for balloons and bubbles.
