They say it takes a village to raise a child. Well, the kids are definitely going to love this artisan ‘village’ as they enjoy a treat to beat the heat (and so will Mom).
Newly opened Village Ice Cream will not disappoint. Located at the end of 10th Avenue SE, with an adorable wooden mini-patio, we love that their goal is to create artisan ice cream and sorbet using only natural and creative ingredients that both adults and kids will love.
Village Ice Cream started out supplying gourmet restaurants (most notably NOtaBLE) with their delicious and unique flavours but fortunately for kids, it’s available in kid-sized, regular, double or triple scoop cones now.
All the ice cream is made on site offering up the classic flavours, such as Chocolate, Strawberry, Vanilla Bean, or Raspberry Sorbet, as well as the more adventurous flavours like Huckleberry, Cardamom, Salted Caramel or Guide’s Mint.
For a special treat, try out one of their ice cream sandwiches made with delicious chocolate brownies created by the chefs at NOtaBLE. A hint of cayenne pepper spices up the brownie, and salted caramel ice cream tops off this gorgeous treat that is packaged and ready for the freezer. The perfect gourmet dessert for a summer barbecue.
Be prepared for more unique flavours and initiatives to come, such as a kid-sized countertop with a window looking into the ice cream making process. (Can you say ‘Willy Wonka’?)
