The Best Nest

Take the tea party out of your house and step into The Dove’s Nest, a storybook cafe filled with delicious delights. 

With a quaint country atmosphere Beatrix Potter would approve of, The Dove’s Nest is a family run tea room offering a high tea that is truly fit for a princess or prince. With a few separate rooms and a bright atmosphere, it’s perfect for catching up with your besties of all ages for a real high tea experience. There are over 100 loose teas to choose from (we loved the Strawberry Long Island Tea), ensuring there’s sure to be an option for even the pickiest of palates.

Mom’s high tea is delivered on a three-tier plate, with sandwiches on the bottom (no two the same), scones, jam and fresh cream in the middle and delicate pastries on top. Kids get a just-for-them selection, which includes a choice of sandwich (cucumber and cream cheese was a favourite), a scone with cream and jam, a brownie and a Victorian Elegance tart.

Good to know: It isn’t a stroller-friendly space, but babes in bucket car seats are fine. Reservations are recommended for high tea and they are closed on Sundays. Gluten intolerances can be accomodated.
