Whether you’re looking for classes in person, online, or just want a kit to get you going, we’ve rounded up 7 local businesses who have everything you need to unleash your inner Van Gogh!

Neon Milkshake offers in-person classes for youth and adults, focusing on either drawing or painting. There are a variety of classes available for kids aged 7 and up on the weekends, after school and in the evening. If parents want to get in on the fun, there are classes available for the over 18 crowd as well! 5-day summer art camps are also being offered for kids and teens excited to hone in their drawing and painting skills.

Swinton’s Art Supply

Swinton’s Art Supply is offering an online course for teens, focusing on fantasy drawing. This is a weekly class which takes place every Tuesday from March 23rd to May 4th. There is also an in-person, 3 hour class available for teens and adults interested in learning the art of linocut and printmaking, with the location and date to be announced.

Art in the Box

Art in the Box offers workshops, camps and classes for art enthusiasts aged 3 and up. After school classes begin the week of April 12th and run for 8 weeks. For preschool-aged kiddos, classes are available during the day, and for school-aged kids, they take place after school. Half and full-day summer camps are also available for registration and take place starting on June 28th and run through August. The focus for these classes, as well as the summer camps, is mixed media, which includes drawing, painting, sculpture and more!

Young Rembrandts

For the kids in your family who are passionate about drawing, Young Rembrandts has a range of in-person, on demand (pre-recorded) and online courses available to perfect their skills. In-person classes are offered at a variety of locations through community associations around the city. Looking for a fun night in with your cohort? Look no further than Our Little Makery! 4Cats Art Studio

Looking for a studio with classes that the whole family can enjoy together? 4Cats offers art classes for children, adults and families in a variety of mediums at their studios in Killarney, Evanston, Montgomery, Inglewood and Edgedale. Check your location for specific class times and options, but keep an eye out for offerings such as weekly classes for kids aged 2-4, 6-week courses for teens aged 12-17, and 6-8 week mixed medium classes for all ages.
