Brewer Park

This is a family favourite park in the Old Ottawa South area. Close to great coffee shops, restaurants, and multiple play park areas, this greenspace will leave you and your party goers having hours of fun. We suggest you fill out the City of Ottawa park permit form if you want to have more than a few friends for an informal play and at less than $30 for a half day of fun this is a very affordable birthday option. There is a covered area with shade and picnic tables, accessible playground, a large playground area suitable for kids of all ages, and and tons of grass space for soccer, running and laughter!

Mini Golf Gardens

Mini Golf Gardens on Colonnade Road welcomes you to bring your own food, purchase on site, or even bring a bbq if you would like! With the special group rate you get two rounds of mini putt each because they know how much the kids will want to keep playing! Open May through to October, there are lots of opportunities to organize your birthday party and don’t forget to request the garden gazebo.

Sugar Bush Trail

Head over the bridge to Chelsea, Qc and enjoy an afternoon birthday at the Gatineau Park Visitors Centre. Take a walk around the Sugar Bush Trail (want to make it extra fun? Make a scavenger hunt to enjoy along the way) and enjoy the gorgeous scenery. Once done walk across the street for a special La Cigale ice cream treat made fresh and don’t forget the waffle cone….they are the homemade as well! Bring a soccer ball and enjoy a friendly game back at the Visitors Centre or open presents around the many picnic tables.

Agricultural Museum

While their birthday party packages may be on hold that doesn’t stop you from organizing your own! Get your friends together and enjoy a day on the farm right in the heart of the City.  Take a visit around all the animals, play at the play park, pack a picnic (don’t forget the cake!) and enjoy the lovely Ottawa weather. With the museum open year round this is a great outdoor birthday party option no matter the season.

Hit Up a Water Park

Calypso Water Park and Mont Cascade Water Park are both great options without too far of a drive if you are central or in the east end. Pack the sunscreen, your food/cake, lots of hydration and towels for swimming, sliding and a day of fun in the sun. If it’s in the budget check out the cabana’s  and there are also options for food on site.
