Market Collective is back for another fabulous year, and is ready to show off the works of local artists, artisans, and musicians. Not only is Market Collective a great place to get to know Calgary’s talented artists (musical and otherwise) but it’s also a chance for non-profit organizations to show their projects, and for the community to express themselves through interactive displays and collaborative pieces. Best of all, it’s a place to get your hands on some unique and beautiful gifts for the holidays! Clothing, accessories, pottery, ceramics, candles, books, and toys are just a few things you’ll find at this hot spot for wildly talented local makers. Admission is $7 per weekend, with free entry for kids 12 and under.

Over 400 local vendors will be coming together over 2 weekends for the 6th annual Saskatoon Farm Christmas Market. Each weekend in December will feature a different selection of vendors, meaning you may just have to visit more than once! This year’s event will take place both indoors and outdoors with fire pits ready to warm guests as they make their way to each of the greenhouses around the farm. There will be treats and eats galore, including baking, kettle corn, hot chocolate and more, and more booths to satisfy your shopping needs than you can shake a candy cane stick at! Home decor, clothing, accessories and plants are only a small selection of goodies you’ll find as you explore the market. Admission is $8 per person and kids under 5 are free.

This local, grassroots organization was created to support local Indigenous creativity, arts and culture and to promote community. Admission to the market is $8 for a weekend pass or $5 for a single day (purchased online or at the door). Kids 12 and under are free!

On Saturday December 10 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., Willow Park Village will transform into a hub for whimsical winter fun. Don’t miss out on festive activities for the entire family, like an interactive scavenger hunt to put you into the holiday spirit, photos in Santa’s sleigh, roaming Christmas carollers, and even a chance to visit the friendly farm animals of Butterfield Acres! For a holiday market you won’t soon forget, head to Tsuut’ina Nation to take in dance performances, tipis, Santa Claus, and food while supporting Indigenous and local artists and businesses at the second annual Christmas at the Nation. Stock up on one of a kind, handmade gifts such as beadwork, jewelry, artwork, craftwork, clothing and more. Once you’re all finished shopping, lace up your skates and head to the outdoor rink for a bit of free skating under the roof of the 7 Chiefs Sportsplex outdoor arena! On Saturday, December 17, market hours are extended to 7:00 pm as Indigenous and well-known music performers take the main stage. Admission is $8 per person. Children 12 and under are free.

When it comes to Christmas cheer, Granary road leaves no snowflake unturned! Celebrate the holidays with carols, decorated trees, lights, and festive photos with Santa and the alpacas and then head over to Santa’s Workshop for gingerbread cookies, ornaments, hot chocolate, tractor rides, and more. There’s plenty of great shopping to be had in the market, as well. Delicious treats and spirits, bath and body care, clothing and accessories and more await as you stroll the vendor booths. Admission to the market is free, but there is an additional cost and booking required for the Christmas Market activities.
