Throughout Ottawa and the Ottawa area, you’ll find just what you need to finish up your gift list and many of the events offer something a little extra to build up your festive cheer!

Atrium Winter Market

When: November 17th
Where: National Arts Centre

The 3rd annual Atrium Winter Market will delight shoppers with their selection of vendors at the NAC Atrium. Hosted by Freewheeling Craft, admission to this market is free. The entire list of vendors can be found on their Facebook page.

All Things Holiday!

When: November 17th
Where: St. Mary’s Hall, Trim Road

In Navan, holiday shoppers will want to stop by the All Things Holiday! Original Navan Market on November 17th, hosted by Country Moments Spa and Wellness Centre. Plan to stay for lunch (it’s being served at 11 am) and fuel up to kick off your holiday shopping.

Old Fashioned Christmas and Outdoor Artisan Market

When: November 17th
Where: Goulbourn Museum

We love that this Old Fashioned Christmas and Outdoor Artisan Market has created market activities for all members of the family. The kids can write letters to Santa, and everyone will enjoy hot chocolate and holiday music. You can even roast marshmallows over the fire! Admission is free.

Fair Trade Festival Sale

When: Friday and Saturdays until November 30
Where: Ottawa Mennonite Church

The annual Fair Trade Festival Sale is the perfect time to stock up on your favourite Fair Trade gifts, holiday décor and delicious chocolate. You’ll discover Fair Trade chocolate advent calendars, stocking stuffers, and new Christmas tree ornaments you’ll be proud to display.

Baby Mama Hustle Christmas Market

When: November 24th
Where: Lansdowne Horticulture Building

The Baby Mama Hustle Christmas Market is for parents and their young kids. The vendors feature items that will appeal to parents of babies and toddlers especially. Enjoy live entertainment with the kiddos while finding those special gifts.

Baz’Art

When: November 23rd and 24th
Where: Shenkman Arts Centre

The Baz’Art Holiday Arts Market at Shenkman Arts Centre returns for another year featuring local artists and makers as well as live music, a bake sale, and an art exhibition. The Gloucester Pottery School is hosting an open house the same day, and “A Christmas Carol” family theatre performance is taking place as well (additional tickets required for that show). The two-day event has become an Ottawa tradition.

613Christmas

When: November 30th
Where: Carleton Field House

Admission to 613Christmas (brought to you by 613 Flea) is free, so you’re already ahead of the budget when you shop at this market. Browse vintage, antique and handmade finds that are unique and often one-of-a-kind items perfect for under your tree.

Hintonburg Artisan Craft Fair

When: November 30th
Where: Hintonburg Community Centre

In addition to locally handcrafted items at this market, purchase baked goods and enjoy a hot bowl of chilli for lunch! The Hintonburg Artisan Craft Fair is one way you can support local makers and likely run into a neighbour or two!

HoliYay Market by Freewheeling Craft

When: December 6th
Where: Shaw Centre

Hosted by Freewheeling Craft, the popular HoliYay Market returns to host over 125 local artists and makers. A DJ will be spinning the tunes, there will be live music, cocktails to sip and a gift wrap station for your convenience.

Cumberland Christmas Market

When: December 7
Where: Cumberland Farmer’s Market, Dunning Road

In the East end of Ottawa, the Cumberland Christmas Market is hosting over 90 vendors for your shopping pleasure. And beyond gifts and décor items, you’ll be able to stock up on foods for your pantry and fridge. Purchase vegetables, meats, baked goods, sweets and more!

Carp Christmas Market 

When: December 6th and 7th
Where: Carp Farmers Market

The Carp Christmas Market is taking place over two days so you have double the opportunity to find the perfect gift or food for your holiday entertaining. Food donations are being collected for the food cupboard, but admission to the Market is free. There is a basket giveaway, and Santa will be joining in on the fun!

Wakefield Christmas Market

When: December 7th
Where: Wakefield Community Centre

On December 7th, holiday cheer can be found at the Wakefield Community Centre as it hosts the Wakefield Christmas Market. Shop at over 70 vendors while you sip on mulled wine and listen to live music. This market runs a bit into the evening (2 pm – 7 pm) and we can imagine at night it will twinkle and shine in a whole new way!

The Museum’s Christmas Market

When: November 28th to December 1st
Where: Museum of History

What could be a more picturesque backdrop for a traditional Christmas market than the Museum of History? The Museum’s Christmas Market is a four-day affair with 80 exhibitors taking over the Grand Hall and welcoming you to shop. Enjoy free admission and free coat check when you arrive.

Cheerfully Made Saves Christmas!

When: December 13th and 14th
Where: Bell Sensplex

Cheerfully Made is once again coming to the rescue for holiday shoppers with their Cheerfully Made Saves Christmas Market at the Bell Sensplex. Over 140 area makers are bringing holiday cheer to you (and shoppers who are still struggling to find the right gift). Admission is $5 on the Saturday, but if you want to pre-shop the sale, limited tickets are available for the night market at $15 each. Those can be purchased online.

Capital Pop Up! Holiday Edition

When: December 15th
Where: Glebe Community Centre

The Capital Pop Up! Holiday Edition has a $2 admission fee (or pay what you can), but it’s all for a good cause; they’ll be donating it back to CHEO! There will be music, warm drinks to sip on and over 50 artisans making gifts and food for purchase.
