Dingerz Batting and Pitching Centre

Spring training has already begun in the majors and within weeks, the official season will swing into action. But baseball fans will be happy to know that thanks to a new indoor facility in Ottawa, they don’t need to be watching the games and sitting on the sidelines only. Instead, they can step into the cage and practice their own baseball and softball skills at Dingerz Batting and Pitching Centre. Since opening last October, Dingerz has been helping Ottawa area baseball players and fans (no matter how novice they may be) hit, pitch and field in baseball.

As part of the Ruthian Baseball Academy, Dingerz allows guests to rent their batting or pitches cages by the half hour or hour. Adults and kids (aged 6 and up) have the opportunity to practice their baseball skills year-round, or try something new just for fun. Memberships are available to help take full advantage of everything the centre has to offer, including special discounts and promotions. Bats and helmets are included (although you can bring your own helmet). We think this would be a really fun way to spend time on a weekend, especially when the weather still isn’t nice enough to visit one of the city fields.

Parents, you’ll be excited to know that Dingerz offers camps and all-inclusive birthday parties. We think their party packages hit it out of the park by including time in the cages, pizza for guests, access to their party room with an Xbox gaming centre and more. March Break, PD Day and Summer Camps are planned throughout the year but registration is required to secure your child’s spot—and yes, summer camp registration is open now.

Dingerz isn’t just for the casual ball player, or someone wanting to try their hand at taking a pitch or two, they also run programs year-round to help players continue to develop their skills and keep up their training in the off-season. You don’t have to be the next Josh Donaldson to enjoy everything that Dingerz has to offer, so get ready to play ball!
