Fall at the Mall

There’s nothing like retail therapy to warm the heart on a freezing cold winter day, and we all know those days are on their way.

Now that the first stage of renovations at Bayshore Mall have just been completed, it’s time to join in on their no-charge Life In Style program and check out the fancy new digs while you’re there.

One of the easiest escapes from chilly autumn temperatures is their Life In Style Toddler and Kids Club, taking place outside Timothy’s Coffee every Tuesday morning. Littles of any age take part in stories and crafts supervised by the YMCA/YWCA, while moms and dads are free to relax with a hot bevie and swap war stories with other parents.

Looking for something a little more active? Stroller Fit runs on Thursdays on the top level of the mall; a trainer leads parents and wee ones on wheels through a gentle but energetic walk and mat-based workout.

Afterwards, take some time to check out the new offerings. H&M just opened their first location in Ottawa on the main floor. Also new to the mall are Victoria’s Secret and their teen-oriented Pink store for fun bath and beauty products.

Good to Know: For Friday to Sunday shopping, limit cold exposure for baby with free weekend valet parking, available until Christmas on level 5 of the new parking garage.

Fitness for mom, fun for kids, fashion for all and valet parking—Bayshore is definitely a go-to cold weather destination.
