Places Where the Kids Eat Free in YYC

Calgary Restaurants Kids Eat Free_feature

Dining out as a family can be a wonderful way to spend time together. The added perks of not having to cook or clean up are a huge bonus for the adults. But restaurant meals can definitely add up when you’re out together. No problem! We’ve created a list of great spots here in YYC where kids eat free.

Cravings

Cravings is a wonderful market restaurant that is off the beaten path. They make fresh food daily and offer a great selection of menu items including pastas, steaks, pan Asian cuisine, seafood, pizzas, and burgers.  And be sure to check out their beautiful dessert counter.

When to go: Kids ages 6 and under eat free Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays with the purchase of an adult entrée.

Via Cibo

Via Cibo is a casual restaurant that serves Italian street food. With pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, and salads on the menu, you are sure to find something that pleases everyone’s palate.

When to go: Kids eat free on Mondays with the purchase of an adult entrée.

The Park Kitchen and Bar

The Park is a nice, yet casual, spot that serves local flavours including ‘bowls’, pastas, pizzas, burgers and more. You’ll definitely want to check out their patio in the summertime.

When to go: Kids under 12 eat free Tuesdays after 2pm.

Montana’s

Montana’s is a great place to go with your messiest of eaters. They specialize in BBQ, so everyone’s hands are dirty anyhow. As an added-bonus, they encourage colouring on their paper-covered tables – that’s about as child-friendly as it gets!

When to go: Kids eat free on Tuesdays, with the purchase of an adult entree (excluding the airport location).

Bonus: Certain locations also offer additional entertainment such as balloon-twisters or magicians – contact your nearest location, ahead of time, to find out.

The Fairmont Palliser Hotel

If you’re going out to celebrate something special and are looking for a finer-dining option, this is the place to go. This luxury hotel is beautiful and centrally located. They have highchairs available upon request.

When to go: Kids 5 and under eat free from the children’s menu every day. Kids ages 6-11 can enjoy dining from the regular menu at half off.

Hi, Thank you for all the valuable info 🙂 I noticed that you go ‘Glamping’ in the mountains…we’re a family of 4 (2 adults & 2 kids, ages 7 & 10yrs) & would love to know about Camping cabins, RVs, etc. for rent. Would you recommend any places near Calgary? Within 3-4 hours drive? I’ve heard of Pigeon lake yurts but they seem to get booked so fast! 🙁 Any other ones you would suggest? Thanks in advance!

    Hi Summer!

    Yes – we LOVE glamping!

To be honest, we actually only rented an RV one time before we went ahead and bought one for our family.

It is a little further than 3-4 hours but, because the spot was so fabulous, I’ll give you the info still…just in case.

The spot we rented our RV from was Country Camping RV in Salmon Arm (https://www.countrycampingrv.com). They were pretty good to deal with and had several options that worked for our own family of 4. They delivered, and set it up, at a near by campground – so everything was ready for us when we arrived!

We rented a little spot at Sandy Point, which was great! The property is beachfront which was so fun and convenient! Here is the website for you: http://www.sandypointcampground.ca

I have heard good things about the Yurts from friends..but you are right…you really have to book those early!

Good luck with your camping adventures! It is such a fun way to spend summer holidays!
