Rules & Regulations – Aveeno Social Contest
These Rules and Regulations (the “Rules”) govern the Contest running on SavvyMom social networks (the “Site”). No purchase is necessary to enter the Contest. The act of entering the Contest constitutes acceptance of these Rules and the decision(s) of the Contest judge (the “Judge”).
ENTRIES:
There is a limit of one (1) entry per social account per day.
ELIGIBILITY:
This Contest is open to residents of Canada (except for Quebec), who are 19 years of age or over as at the time of entry, excluding employees, officers and directors of Ideon Media and Johnson & Johnson Inc. (the “Sponsors”). Any companies affiliated with SavvyMom.ca or the Sponsor, representatives, dealers and agents of SavvyMom.ca or the Sponsors, contest suppliers and the Judge, (collectively the “Contest Parties”) and those with whom any of them are domiciled whether related or not. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and local laws and regulations and is voidable where prohibited by law.
HOW TO ENTER:
To be entered for a chance to win, visit the contest post on the social network and leave a comment. Entries will not be eligible if submitted by any method, which is not specified above, or if the entry is not received prior to the end of the Contest Period. There is a limit of one (1) entry per social account per day.
PRIZE
There will be (1) one first prize consisting of:
– a selection of AVEENO products
– One (1) Teddy Bear by Jellycat
– One (1) four pack of white faceclothes
– Two (2) cotton receiving blankets
– One (1) romper by Honey Bunny
– One (1) Bib by Honey Bunny
– One (1) pair of socks by Honey Bunny
– One (1) pair of Mittens
The total value for the first prize is $120. The prize is provided by the maker of AVEENO®, Johnson & Johnson Inc. (“Prize Provider”)
The morning of the day after the contest ends, SavvyMom.ca will randomly select the winner from those entries received during the Contest Period, whom will be eligible to win the prize. The selected winner will be contacted following the end of the Contest Period. The draw will be held in Toronto, Ontario and will be made from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
The odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
GENERAL
The selected contestant will be contacted via direct message by a representative of SavvyMom.ca at the social account provided in the contestant’s entry. You must be following SavvyMom social account in order to be contacted. If a selected contestant cannot be reached within two (2) days of initial contact they will be disqualified and forfeit the Prize and another contestant may be randomly selected. This procedure will be repeated until a selected contestant is reached, and confirmed as a winner in accordance with these rules.
Within 24 hours of being contacted, in order to be declared a winner, the selected contestant must: (a) correctly answer, unaided, a mathematical skill testing question posed by email at a mutually convenient time.
The entrants selected for a Prize will be required to correctly answer a time limited skill testing question before being declared a Winner. Winners will be required to execute a legal agreement and release (“Release”) that confirms Winner’s (i) eligibility for the Contest and compliance with these Contest Rules; (ii) acceptance of the Prize as offered; (iii) release of each of the Sponsors, Contest Parties, Prize Provider and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates and/or related companies and each of their employees, directors, officers, suppliers, agents, sponsors, administrators, licensees, representatives, advertising, media buying and promotional agencies (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damages, cost or expense arising out of participation in the Contest, participation in any Contest-related activity or the acceptance, use, or misuse of any Prize, including but not limited to costs, injuries, losses related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light, or from any and all claims of third parties arising therefrom; and (iv) grant to the Sponsor of the unrestricted right, in the Sponsor’s collective or individual discretion, to produce, reproduce, publish, broadcast, communicate by telecommunication, exhibit, distribute, adapt and otherwise use or re-use the Winner’s name, photograph, likeness, voice and biography, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, in connection with the Contest and the promotion and exploitation thereof. The executed Release must be returned within two (2) business days of the verification as a Winner or the selected entrant will be disqualified and the Prize forfeited.
If the selected entrant: (a) fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question; (b) fails to return the properly executed Contest documents within the specified time; and/or (c) cannot accept the Prize for any reason; then he/she will be disqualified (and will forfeit all rights to the Prize) and the Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole and absolute discretion, to randomly select an alternate eligible entrant from among the remaining eligible Entries (in which case the foregoing provisions of this section shall apply to such new selected entrant).
In all matters relating to the promotion and awarding of the Prizes, the Judge’s rulings are final and without appeal. All entries that are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy the Rules, may be disqualified by SavvyMom.ca. SavvyMom.ca takes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, misdirected, late or destroyed entries, or for typographical or other production errors. Neither SavvyMom.ca nor the Sponsors, Contest Parties nor the Prize Provider are responsible for any errors or omissions in printing or advertising this Contest. All entries become property of SavvyMom.ca and will not be returned to the contestants.
SavvyMom.ca will use contestants’ personal information to administer the Contest, including contacting, announcing and promoting the prize winners. As well, if contestants have opted in, SavvyMom.ca and the Sponsors and/or Prize Provider may also use contestants’ personal information to keep contestants informed about other offers and promotions of SavvyMom.ca and the Sponsors and/or Prize Provider. SavvyMom.ca assumes no responsibility for failure of the internet or the Site itself during the Contest Period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or traffic congestion on the internet or any web-site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to a contestant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from accessing any material on the Site. SavvyMom.ca reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the Contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond its reasonable control corrupt the security or proper administration of the Contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage the Site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of the Rules. Should any such attempt be made, SavvyMom.ca reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including and not limited to, criminal prosecution.
Prizes must be accepted as awarded, are non-transferable and are not convertible into cash.
If the identity of a contestant is disputed, the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry will be deemed to be the contestant. The individual assigned to the email address for the domain associated with the submitted email address is considered the authorized account holder. A selected contestant may be required to provide proof that he or she is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the selected entry. All entries must be submitted from a valid email account that may be identified by reverse domain name search. The sole determinant of time for the purpose of receipt of a valid entry in this Contest will be subject to the Contest server machines.
