Craft Fair Finds

ponchoo

Kids need to play. But sometimes in the process they get dirty or wet (or both). That’€™s why we love these two mom-run companies that have taken matters into their own hands and developed adorable, stylish and functional solutions to their messy dilemmas.

North Vancouver mompreneurs Desiree Kranendijk and Stephanie Loewen, determined to not let a little rain dampen the fun of their collective seven children, have designed a rain poncho that moms and active kids can both appreciate.

Moojoes Rain Ponchos are high-quality outerwear designed for our mild and wet climate. The ponchos are water resistant with a Dintex outer shell, moisture-wicking inner lining and provide soft comfort without that plastic-y feel that other rainwear has.

Moms will love the reflective tape piping and the fact that they should last your child at least two years. The ponchos also accommodate backpacks, so homework stays dry.

Kids will love the soft colourful ponchos because they pop on and off easily without any buttons or zippers to mess with or sleeves to restrict their movement. And the fact that they’ll resemble a caped crusader is fun too.

Speaking of easy-to-wear gear, try on these aprons from Two Kids, a company created by North Vancouver mom Iram Shariff who designs one-of-a-kind pieces that are functional and well made. These cute aprons will keep the mess off the kids and are easy to get on and off. This mom is passionate about creating and providing tools to help children become as independent as possible.

These unique aprons will be available at the Circle Craft Christmas Market until November 11 and you can pop over to the Delbrook Christmas Craft Fair on Saturday, November 17 to pick up a Moojoes poncho.
